As
a training organisation registered by the ARC to provide training services and
assessment services and issuance of nationally recognised qualifications to
national and international students, the SA College of Natural Medicine operates under a code of practice designed to provide the basis for
good practice in its marketing, operation, financing and administration of
education and training services. This code of
practice is described in full in the College policies, it has been
summarised below:

practices which maintain high professional standards in the delivery of training
and assessment services, and which safeguard the interests and welfare of its
students.
The
SA College of Natural Medicine maintains a learning environment
that is conducive to the success of its students.
The
SA College of Natural Medicine Our organisation has the capacity
to deliver and assess the vocational Qualifications for which it has been
registered, provide adequate facilities, and use methods and materials
appropriate to the learning and assessment needs of its students.
The
SA College of Natural Medicine monitors and assesses the
performance and progress of its students.
The SA College of Natural Medicine teaching staff are suitably qualified and sensitive to the cultural and learning needs of students, and provides training for our staff as required.
The
SA College of Natural Medicine issues Qualifications and
statements of attainment to students who meet the required outcomes of a
Qualification or unit of competency, acknowledging that Qualifications are
nationally recognised.
The
SA College of Natural Medicine markets and advertises its
products and services in an ethical manner. In marketing services to
international students aimed to enhance the reputation of South Australia as a
source of quality education and training and does not detract from the
reputation or interest of other Registered Training Organisations.
The
SA College of Natural Medicine has a refund policy that is fair
and equitable and this policy is made available to all students. Our
organisation makes refunds to international students in accordance with the
provisions of the Educations Services for Overseas Students (Registration of
Providers and Financial Regulation) Act.
The
SA College of Natural Medicine supplies accurate, relevant, up
to date information to prospective students, before they enrol.
The
SA College of Natural Medicine supplies accurate and current
information to enable a person unfamiliar with the Australian education and
training system and living conditions, to make informed decisions about the
appropriateness of the College and its courses to the student’s needs. Our
organisation informs prospective and enrolled students of any changes to student
visa conditions, as advised by the Department of Immigration and Multicultural
Affairs (DIMA) or its equivalent.
The
SA College of Natural Medicine ensures that the educational
background of intending students is assessed by suitably qualified staff and/or
agents, and provides for the training of such staff and when necessary arranges
for the English language proficiency of international students to be
specifically assessed before a student is offered a place in a course.
The
SA College of Natural Medicine provides adequate protection for
the health, safety and welfare of trainees and, without limiting the ordinary
meaning of such expression, this includes adequate and appropriate support
services in terms of academic and personal counselling.
The
SA College of Natural Medicine is sensitive to cross-cultural
issues and meet the special needs of international students, especially those
under the age of 18 years. These services include adequate orientation,
information and advice on accommodation, concurrent assistance, bridging courses
and welfare facilities.
The
SA College of Natural Medicine ensures that trainees and clients
have access to a fair and equitable process for dealing with grievances and
provides an avenue for students to appeal against decisions which affect the
students’ progress.
The
SA College of Natural Medicine keeps complete and accurate
records of the attendance and progress of students, as well as financial records
that reflect all payments and charges and the balance due, and provides copies
of these records to students on request.
The
SA College of Natural Medicine seeks feedback from students on
their satisfaction with services they have received and seeks to improve its
services in accordance with their expectations.
The
SA College of Natural Medicine provides revision of tuition for
a single subject ILP administration fee for all competencies and modules, except
in instances where failure is due to non-attendance. Graduates may also avail
themselves of this policy if they wish to update their skills. Formal enrolment
in each module is required and all assessment tasks must be completed.
