Services at the College


Administration

Reception and the offices of the Principal, College Registrars and Student Counsellor are situated on the ground floor of Bailey Street (Corner Gouger Street), Adelaide. Administration is open from 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday. Some services are also available at the Clarence Gardens Clinic Campus, Monday to Saturday 8:30am to 6:00pm.  

Apothecary

The College Apothecary stocks a good range of natural products pertinent to the modalities taught at the College. The full-service dispensing shop opens onto Bailey Street (off Gouger Street). Profits from student appointments and their sales go directly to the Research Department.  

Student Clinics

The on-campus student clinics, under the supervision of qualified natural and traditional therapists, is available at a moderate, professional fee to external patients and is available to internal students at a discounted rate. The clinic offers natural and traditional therapy services. The clinics are situated on the ground floor of the College and on the ground floor of the Clarence Gardens Clinic Campus. For clinic appointments phone 08 8371 3055. Profits from the Clinic go directly to the Research Department. There are also approved off-Campus Clinics available.  

There is also a clinic staffed by fully qualified practitioners available to students and the general public.  

Flexible learning Support

Telephone calls are taken from flexible learning students for queries regarding course content, structure, administration or personal issues. All flexible learning students are allocated their own tutor on enrolment who is available to assist them as they progress through the course. 

Other support persons are also available to students, in person, by fax, or by telephone (at established times, an appointment may be necessary). Calls may be placed at any time and a message can be taken which a support person will return when available. Assistance is available in the areas of careers advice, study load, Research & Referencing Skills and specific course-related queries. 

All support persons are fully trained Natural and Traditional Therapists experienced in training. Established times are set aside for students to telephone and tele-tutorials can be arranged. On-Campus support is available at no extra charge for students wishing to attend College for short courses or intensives. Fax 08 8297 0003 is also available for queries. Food And Drinks

Food and drinks are available all year round from local businesses. Being situated in the Adelaide Business District means that there is no shortage of eating places within the neighbouring vicinity of the College (including the Central Market). 

THERE MUST BE NO EATING OR DRINKING IN CLASSROOMS, APOTHECARY, LIBRARY OR LABORATORY.  

Graduation Ceremony And Presentation of Awards

The Ceremony is traditionally held in March of each year, it is a formal affair, followed by a dinner. During the Ceremony Certificates, Diplomas Industry and College Awards are presented to students for studies from first to fourth years. All students are encouraged to attend.  

Language Support for Speakers of Languages Other then English

The College has instituted a new policy to assist those students who speak English as a second language. As from January 1, 2000, it will be possible for written assignments to completed and submitted in the first language of the student. All written and oral examinations would need to be completed in English. Extra time is allowed in all examinations and an approved language dictionary to assist with translation is also permitted. The College needs to be notified prior to each examination period if students wish to take advantage of this offer. A list is available, enquire at Reception for the list of sixteen languages. For those students who choose to complete assignments in English, this will be taken into consideration. To take advantage of this offer, students need to make application in writing, to the Principal.
